Wolf's Head Last Stand 02

For those of you who don't get the title reference, I give this simple explaination:

The Television series "Robin of Sherwood" Staring Micheal Praed was shot entirely on location in the West Country by HTV. At the end of series two, all hell had broken loose and to save Mairion and the other Merry Men who were still at large, Robin Hood (also known as "The Wolf's Head") sacrifices himself upon a stoney outcrop...which just happened to be the turn-around around point for one of my all time favourite dog-walking spots at Burrington Blackdown.
It hasn't changed much over the last quater of a century since that slice of television history, a few small thorn bushes struggle to take hold in the thin soil high above the tree line.
